Informatik-Kolloquium
Im Sommersemester 2015 findet im Rahmen des Informatik-Kolloquiums der folgende Vortrag statt:
Montag, 29. Juni 2015, 16:15 Uhr, Turing Hörsaal
Dr. Fabio Remondino, Bruno Kessler Foundation, Italien
From observations to 3D information and contents
Nowadays we have at our disposal a large variety of sensors and techniques to digitize in 3D environments and objects. Experience and technical knowledge are fundamental to fully exploit the characteristics of each sensor and technique and perform complete and accurate 3D reconstructions.
The talk will critically present the available active and passive sensors and the related processing techniques to derive 3D enriched information. Sensors, platforms and algorithms will be reviewed and analyzed with a view to the actual technology trends. Examples related to heritage, industry, landscape, cities and disasters will be presented, including the Costa Concordia accident, the Pompeii archaeological area, Italian earthquaked areas, World War I scenarios, etc.
