Summary
Sven Jörissen did his Bachelor studies in Aerospace Information Technology at the University of Wuerzburg from 2012-2015 and continued with his Master studies in Space Science and Technology (Spacemaster Round 11), where he graduated in 2017. He wrote his Master’s thesis on “3D Real-time Scanning using a Projector-based Structured Light System” at the Center for Telematics e.V. and joined the Robotics and Telematics department as a research assistant in October 2017.
Previous projects include “3D-Raumlaser - Development of an integrated laser-based calibration and monitoring system for increasing safety in radio therapy” and “Sauber3D - Robot-based deburring of injection molded parts made of plastic automatically by means of laser-based reconstruction in 3D”.
He is currently developing an VR headset for underwater astronaut training as part of a pilot study for ESA.
