Scholarships

Students who cannot afford to study financially and meet the relevant requirements can apply for a scholarship. These are awarded by the DAAD and BAYHOST for international students, among others.

Accommodation

The Studierendenwerk offers several student dormitories for JMU students, which students can apply for here.

Cost of living

Living costs in Würzburg, including rent and food and the 160 EUR per semester, amount to 800 to 1200 EUR per month.

Public Transportation

The semester fee of EUR 160 includes a semester ticket for local public transport by bus and streetcar in Würzburg and the surrounding area.

Food

The JMU Studierendenwerk runs several canteens in Würzburg. The nearest canteen is Mensateria Hubland Nord, 800 meters from the Computer Science building. Students can choose between several hot meals for a reduced student price of 3 to 5 EUR. The canteen also offers vegetarian and vegan meals and has an evening meal in the evening.

Visa and proof of financial resources

As an international student, you need a visa and proof of sufficient funds. The visa process can take several months, so we recommend applying for a visa in good time.
