Objectives

The aim of the project is to establish a network of Indian/European universities, addressing the future oriented, interdisciplinary engineering discipline of Telematics (telecommunications + informatics). This leads in joint research opportunities and pooling of experience between the partner universities are achieved. Related industrial Tele-maintenance and tele-diagnosis of remote industrial equipment promises expanding service business within the global market, nevertheless only few engineers are yet trained in this field. This approach promises good sustainability perspectives, beyond the project duration, when less travel funding might be available. By exchanging students and faculty as by intensive training courses the remote experiments will be implemented.
