The Frank J. Malina Astronautics Medal is presented annually to an educator who has demonstrated excellence in using his/her available resources to promote the study of astronautics and related space sciences. For 2023, this is won by Prof. Dr. Klaus Schilling.

The Parliament of Bavaria recognizes with its Constitutional Medal Professor Schilling's contributions!

After an illustrious career spanning Manipulators, Mobile Robots and Small Satellites that included awards like the Eugen Sänger Medal or two ERC grants, Prof. Schilling finished his innings at the University with a lecture titled "Small Satellites for big tasks".
